Hello football fans. Today I want to tell you a little bit about my flag football team. Before we start you should know that my dad is the coach. I bet you’re starting to wonder what team I’m on. That I can answer. The Penn Quakers (Pennsylvania Quakers) is the team that you’ve been wondering about. Since my dad is the coach, he’s the one who makes the plays and the play cards. So he’s the main coach. For different positions he gives us colors like center is green and quarterback is blue and there are more colors. For the play cards he makes them double sided so it’s easier to find in the huddle. On the cards are the positions. We follow the arrow so we know where to run on the field. Unlike pro football, there are only three downs, not four, and no punts. When there are eight players at the game everyone sits once. When there are seven, two players don’t sit. When there are six players no one sits because six players are on the field at a time on each team. Our jerseys are red on the t-shirt and navy blue on the shorts. We are 4-0. That means four wins and zero losses. But next week we play a team that is 5-0. We have to play hard to beat them. The association is FNL (Friday Night Lights). Every game is on Friday, but some are on Thursday. I play quarterback and slot receiver. Last game we beat a team 34-0. Hope it’s a good game!
